Madrid Cook's Tour

For anyone who likes to buy treats to bring back home, or for those of you who might have a kitchen at your disposal while in Madrid, or if you just want to see a part of the city away from the tourists, this is the tour for you. We will take you to 5 different shops in Madrid, where you will have the chance to buy some of the finest food and wine Spain has to offer.

First, a neighborhood market where you have the chance to buy succulent ham, fresh fruits and vegetables, fish, and much more, right alongside Spanish housewives doing their everyday shopping.  Second, we will stop at a store dedicated to one of the most important ingredients in Spanish cookery, olive oil.

Next, a wine shop where we will get a chance to taste some wine while learning a little about where it comes from and how it is made. Fourth, ever think that Manchego was all Spain had to offer as far as cheese? Well, we'll prove that theory wrong as we walk up the street to a treasure trove of all things cheese. Walls lined with every type of fermented milk you can imagine.  Following this, we will move on to a chocolate shop whose reliquary holds some of the finest chocolates available to mortals! All in all, this 3 hour tour will show you some of the finer treats Madrid has to offer.

What's Included
We want to make sure that you don't miss anything during your stay here in Madrid so all tours include lots of tips and recommendations for how to spend your time here. We will provide you with a map, recommended restaurants, list of typical tapas and food found in Spain.

The Cook's tour includes a plate of cheeses, and other treats depending on the tastes of the group.

Cost
80 Euros per person. Discounts apply for groups of 4 or more.

Times
The tours last from 2.5 to 3 hours. The cook's tour is best in the morning, beginning at 10 or 11, but afternoon is possible as well.
